About the CCC
Experience-based clinical counselling, therapies, and support services for mental health and wellness in Squamish, BC
Values and vision
At the CCC, we value person-centred, trauma-informed, and evidence-based support services for individuals, couples, and families. We value integrating clinical counselling with art therapy, music therapy, recreation therapy, outdoor/nature based therapies and community outreach support services.
Process
Clinical counsellors provide professional and collaborative screening, assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy and psycho-education. Clients who want more are connected to experience-based therapies. Support workers provide outreach services, in home and in community. Our professionals work together to ensure a consistent approach to care.

Program Director, Clinical Counsellor, Music Therapist
Meet Lisa
My name is Lisa. My journey to starting the CCC began over 20 years ago with my first role supporting children with complex needs in summer day camps. I’ve since worked solely in support and therapy related fields, as a respite care provider, behaviour interventionist, music therapist, educator, family outreach and clinical counsellor. These experiences have all highlighted the importance of relational safety as foundational for health and wellness.
I’m committed to providing mental health support for complex issues, including trauma, psychiatric concerns, neurodiversity, and personal/family relationships from a strengths-based and non-pathologizing lens. I see a need for more actionable, directive, experience-based and educational therapy approaches.
Not everyone can engage in weekly talk-based therapy and may need support in more creative ways.
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Certified Music Therapist with masters degrees in both fields, I am passionate and informed on the benefits of “experiencing” therapy through the arts, nature, recreation, and physical movement. Healthy relationships to these mediums, experienced within safe interpersonal connections, is my vision for a healthier community.
Relational safety is at the core of all programs at the CCC.

Her approach is client-centred where the client's personality, communication style, thoughts, ideas, and interests become the catalyst for growth. She sees outdoor activities as a unique platform from which to work towards therapeutic goals.
In her spare time, Selena enjoys rock climbing and has over 20 years of experience. She loves to spend time in nature, particularly in alpine environments. She also enjoys cooking and loves to connect with her Sri Lankan and Polish heritage through researching and re-creating childhood dishes.
